Durio and Phillips Obtain $250,000 Jury Verdict

DMSA attorneys Steven G. "Buzz" Durio and Daniel J. Phillips successfully obtained a $250,000 jury verdict for their clients after trial in Mobile, Alabama U.S. District Court from February 16 - 18, 2016. The matter, entitled Utah Reverse Exchange, et al v. Linda Donado and William Donado, Suit No. 14-408, was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama by several entities controlled by Charles K. "Buddy" Breland. Durio and Phillips, representing defendants and counterclaimants Linda and William Donado, claimed funds promised in return for the Donado's services. The jury returned a verdict in the amount of $250,000, finding that the Donados had relied to their detriment upon promises by Breland and his entities.
