Gary McGoffin
Founding Partner
Founding partner Gary McGoffin handles a wide range of business and healthcare litigation cases. Admitted to practice in 1976, Gary has memberships in the Louisiana State Bar Association, United States District Court Eastern, Western and Middle Districts, the United States Fifth Circuit of Appeal and the Lafayette Parish Bar Association.
Gary attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette) from 1970-1973, continuing to earn his Juris Doctor in 1976 from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. He has served in the Louisiana State Bar House of Delegates, as the Lafayette Parish Bar Association president, and is a recipient of the Crystal Gavel Award.
Gary is heavily involved in giving back to the community and has served as Chairman of the Board of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, as Chairman and Trustee of the Lafayette Public Trust Financing Authority, as President of the Lafayette Public Library Foundation and as President of the Evangeline Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious Civic Cup which recognizes one individual a year who has made a significant contribution to Acadiana.
